Hello! We are Thomas and Stefanie, a normal husband and wife duo trying to navigate being parents, spouses, friends, and citizens. We are both medically trained, love Jesus, and feel called as servants of the Lord to be keepers of the King’s forest (Earth). In the past few years our hearts have grown to ache with compassion for those who are suffering and hunger for what is right.
Psalm 24:1 (the verse that inspired our name), along with other scripture, has become a soothing balm for us, helping us to cope with the misalignment of mercy and justice in the world. In this Psalm, King David implies that everything in our world belongs to the Lord- He knows about it, He cares about it, He is making all things new. We believe that as we live this life on loan, we are given a responsibility to partner with God to “seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God,” (Micah 6:8).
The Lord has laid on our hearts a specific desire to weave practicable (easily put into practice) sustainability efforts into our urban life while cultivating intentional relationships. We are aiming to live simply, intentionally, and at a slower pace than culture beckons us to, so that meaningful relationships can flourish, and we experience a more constant communion with our Lord. This site has become a place to share these musings!
Stefanie is the unbridled passion, the dreamer, the at-times-reckless-yet-well-intentioned world changer of the team. In particular, she has become interested in repurposing things to reduce consumption and waste, and inspiring others to do so in relatable ways. She’s enjoying making and giving out upcycled, reusable gift wrap, which is the first purpose of this site! Here you will find FAQs, videos and photos about how to use the wraps!
Thomas is the inspired thinker, the motivated creative, and the reasonably-minded anchor to Stefanie’s passion. In particular, he’s interested in tilling the soil of the earth and relationships, repairing and riding bikes (recently selling his vehicle to be a bike commuter), and creatively reducing consumption. He loves people and rich conversation, but he also loves being by himself to think and write, preferably in nature with coffee, journal, and Bible in tow.

Our logo was created by a dear friend and the inspiration came from this photo, taken in our neighbor’s yard when a dying tree had to be removed. The heart embedded in the trunk speaks to the Creator’s affection for His creation and His ability to redeem. (The cute toddler foot just adds some feels.)
We’re so glad you’re here and that you were created. We know very little, but we are learning and have a mountain of gumption! We hope that you and others will join us on our journey!
